Huge truck ready for mission
31/07/07 – A massive truck with 28-wheels that will be used to set up a telescope array in the Chilean Andes has come through tests that prove its competency. The huge truck will transport antennas that weigh 115 tonnes up a mountainside plateau, 5,000m above sea level.
Laptops to outsell desktop PCs
22/03/2007 – A report has revealed that Laptops will be the dominant form of computer by 2011. The findings published by analysts IDC show that the demand for desktop PCs will grow but at a declining rate eventually being usurped by portable machines.
