How to use an FTP client

#1 by admin
As Supanet's FTP client only facilitates singular file uploads, websites consisting of many files may take a long time to upload. Users may therefore prefer to use a 3rd party FTP client which supports multiple file uploads simultaneously.

Such FTP clients are freely available from such sites as http://www.download.com. We suggest using a program called FileZilla which also supports the drag and drop feature to make file uploads easier.

To connect using a 3rd party FTP client use the following details...

(substitute the contents of '< >' for your own details)

Address: ftp.<your domain>.<com>
User: <your ftp account userrname>@<your domain>.<com>
Password: <your password>

Port: This can be left empty

Example:

Address: ftp.supanet.com
User: admin@supanet.com
Password: example
