Hi,
My website (http://www.saundersweb.co.uk) is running very slowly. It takes an age to load the homepage, but once it loads the response speed is perfectly acceptable. I have deleted and re-created all DB's (I thought that was the issue) but this hasn't resolved it. Please could you look into this?

Hi
I cannot see any problem with the server and the website loading instantly. Please check you connection speed and provide the ping test and trace route result for further investigation. - Posted on Friday, 14th November 2008 at 6:22pm

As you can see, it times out past the 195.50.119.134 ip address (I have no idea what this IP address is, and I can't run an nslookup on it as I only get a response from my works internal dns servers!). If I ping my website from my work laptop, it times out:
H:\>ping http://www.saundersweb.co.uk
Pinging http://www.saundersweb.co.uk [213.40.79.217] with 32 bytes of data:

Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 213.40.79.217:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
I'm not able to connect to my home PC at the moment to give the stats from there, But I do know that the tracert times out the same IP address as above....also it won't reply to ping.
The only thing I can think is that maybe my IP address has been blocked from accessing that url (although who or where that would be blocked I don't know)
If I connect to my website from any other PC (not work laptop's though, as they all use the same external IP address to access the internet), it works fine.
I've already run an ipconfig /release and renew, but that won't make any difference as the external facing IP address is the same (my external IP address at home is static). I've tried using different browsers, that doesn't work.
One other test I did was to try and connect to http://www.saundersweb.co.uk from my phone using the wireless that's conencted into my home router - same result, no luck - but when I used my phones gprs or 3g connections, it worked fine (hence me thinking it's an IP blocking issue)
Any help would be much appreciated

Hi,
The IP address that I get the time out on is 81.168.92.222. This is my home PC. When I try and connect to http://www.saundersweb.co.uk IE/Opera and Firefox all time out and take me to google with http://www.saundersweb.co.uk as the top result.
The tracert that I posted also applies to my home machine

- I have cleared your IP from block list, you should be able to access it from your home.

- Thanks for doing that, I'm able to access it now - is there any way of stopping it happening again?

Hi,
I'm still having trouble accessing my website from work (any IP address that start 40. (my company own the 40 IP range))
Please could you see if any IP address' that start 40. are in the block list and remove them?
