eBay pulls US advertising from Google
15/06/07 – eBay have removed their US advertising from Google following a dispute over the search engine holding an event on the same evening as eBay's annual merchants' conference. eBay believe that Google scheduled the event in order to distract attention away from PayPal, eBay's payment system, and onto Google's own card processing service.
Microsoft MP3 fine overturned
08/07/07 – A fine imposed on Microsoft for infringing music patents has been dropped by a US district court. The Window's manufacturer had been ordered to pay Alcatel-Lucent $1.52bn (£777m) after it was ruled that Microsoft's Media Player infringed on two Alcatel patents.
Ban on new internet cafes in china for rest of this year
07/03/2006 - An order from the Chinese government has forbidden any new internet cafes from opening this year. The ban is made through a government order that has been obtained by the state news agency Xinhua.
