Latest Microsoft security updates released

14/06/07 - Microsoft has issued six new security updates as part of its monthly patch distribution. The updates fix issues with Windows (including Vista), Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Windows Mail
The update fixes 15 flaws in these programs and four out of the six patches in the update are listed as 'critical', the most urgent that the company provides.

They fix weaknesses in the program that if exploited could allow somebody to take control of the application to alter and delete data.

All Windows users, including those with Vista, are urged to apply the update immediately.

Microsoft release monthly updates on the second Tuesday of every month and windows users can set their systems to automatically upload them for increased protection.

It was developed by Tim O'Reilly, a pioneer of the blogsphere, and follows the threats and harassment made to US developer Kathy Sierra via blogs.
